Calculate your drainage contribution
Drainage contributions are the costs we recover from developers to fund drainage scheme infrastructure and stormwater quality treatment works. These costs are then reimbursed to the developers that construct the scheme works.
Contributions are based on the area developed and the development type. For example, industrial development pays a higher rate than low-density residential development.
Important notes
- The table below shows the rates per hectare for each drainage scheme.
- Use the calculator below to calculate your contribution based on your development type and size.
- You can get a discount on the stormwater quality component of the contributions if you build your own stormwater quality works, in addition to any stormwater quality works proposed in the scheme. The calculator will show the discount based on the level of ‘best practice’ proposed.

The calculator stipulates the level of best practice expected within a development. The level of treatment achieved (% of best practice) can be increased beyond the expected amount or decreased where mitigating circumstances prevent local treatment.
