Land development reference 7.8
All 'as constructed' information annotated on the design plans must be undertaken within the CAD environment and then a PDF file produced, with additional hard copy plans produced when required. None of the original design details are to be removed. Where Works haven't been constructed in accordance with original design (such as a significant change to alignment) complete new plans must be submitted.
The main purpose of annotating the original design plan is to:
-
assist us in determining variations from the design
-
to provide overall consistency of existing 'as constructed' details
-
provide a process by which design information is updated
Our GIS stores only a limited amount of information in MapInfo format, providing the overall system hydraulics, while the design plans provide the necessary detail.
Each sheet which has 'as constructed' details annotated must have the revisions title box (bottom left hand corner of sheet) annotated with the words "as constructed details added" and the next revision number allocated for that sheet. The revision number is to be noted in the revisions box and adjacent to the drawing plan number (bottom right hand side).
Annotations
All 'as constructed' dimensions and co-ordinates are to be prefixed by "A/C" denoting these dimensions are 'as constructed' dimensions with the exception of dimensions being contained within designated sections for 'as constructed' details.
The majority of offsets and ties will be on the detail design alignment plan. There may be instances where a detailed inset diagram has been used to describe internal structural dimensions and possibly a relationship to title.
These detailed inset diagrams should be appropriately annotated with 'as constructed' dimensions. Similarly, invert levels must be annotated against longitudinal sections and detailed inset diagrams.
