Come along and learn about the importance of frogs in farm ecosystems and how to identify frogs. It will be ‘ribbiting’.
David De Angelis, Latrobe University/Abzeco, is an Ecologist/Zoologist with over 17 years’ experience in flora and fauna surveys, bushland management and environmental education. David is particularly interested in the ecology and conservation of reptiles and frogs, having surveyed for several threatened species over the years.
We will begin with a presentation on frogs, followed by a walk to a wetland area and listen for frog calls and identify frogs at dusk. Learn how to contribute citizen science information to frog apps.
Light catering will be provided. Please wear enclosed shoes and bring suitable clothing for outdoor evening conditions. A biosecurity foot bath will be in place.
