Water cycle

What better way to learn about the water cycle than to make your own? Follow the movement of water in a closed system and make comparisons to the real thing!

Get crafty and create your very own water cycle, using a few everyday items and the power of the sun. Students will observe the water cycle in action with this mini experiment that they can create rain or shine (but shine is better!).

Learning outcomes

  • Investigate, explore and observe the stages of the water cycle

  • Follow the movement of water through different states

  • Observe the movement of water in a closed system and understand that water is a finite resource
