Immerse yourself in nature this October and help frog conservation by participating in Frog Month Victoria. Residents across Victoria are invited to participate in vital conservation research by recording frog calls using the Frog Census App.

Frog Month Victoria: Frogtober is coming

Join frog ecologist Professor Kirsten Parris from the University of Melbourne to hear more about the threatened Growling Grass Frog and the arrival of the Eastern Dwarf Sedge Frog, which has recently established populations in Victoria after arriving from Queensland and New South Wales.

Jane Petch, an ecologist and educator from Melbourne Water, will also take you through the Frog Census App and how to use it to record frogs across Victoria, this October.

Professor Kirsten Parris, University Of Melbourne
Kirsten Parris is a Professor of Urban Ecology in the School of BioSciences, where she leads the Urban Ecology and Conservation Research Group, and the Director of the Office for Environmental Programs at The University of Melbourne. 

Jane Petch, Melbourne Water
Jane Petch is an ecologist with Melbourne Water who is passionate about encouraging people to connect meaningfully to the natural world. She has been working for 9 years with Melbourne Water as an environmental educator.
