Event details
Join Melbourne Water’s Waterwatch team and the Werribee River Keeper Association with some special expert guests to investigate some of the small animals that call the waterways of Wyndham Vale home.
Bring the kids along and engage in fun and interesting activities all about frogs!
Program
Hear from Erin Bradley from Werribee River Keeper Association on the importance of frogs and the local habitat of Lollipop Creek.
Next join a guided walk to learn about Lollipop Creek and our elusive frog species including how they indicate how healthy waterways are.
Then get your listening ears on and your smart phone ready to record as we take live recordings of the frogs calling. Your data will contribute to the Frog Census program which provides vital research on our important frog species.
You'll be having fun, learning new things and contributing to conservation.
