Event details
Did you know that the Yarra River catchment supports key habitats for a range of fascinating frog species, even close to the city?
Join us for a survey of three middle Yarra billabongs (Willsmere, Burke and Wilson Reserve) to record frogs while learning about aspects of their biology and preferred habitats from frog expert David De Angelis. We will discuss how to identify most of the local species by their calls and appearance, and the importance of contributing records to Melbourne Water's Frog Census.
Please note:
- No experience necessary, all ages welcome.
- Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear sturdy shoes and bring a torch.
- We encourage you to download the Frog Census app before the event
