Developers working on assets related to a drainage scheme, known as a Development Services Scheme DSS, or seeking to modify or decommission an existing Melbourne Water asset must apply for our approval of those designs.

Drainage designs go through three stages of review and acceptance:

  • Melbourne Water Tender assessment template filled in with tender information and initial consultant's assessment of reimbursable items with justification and supporting information. (Excel) (Civil &/or Planting)
  • Supporting information (Invoices, photos, MW construction oversight report, consultant justification, comparable rates etc)
  • Copy of Security and Retention (Bonds/bank guarantees)
