Appointment of a new Chair and four new Directors

Yesterday, Minister for Water, the Hon. Harriet Shing announced the appointment of a new Chair and four new Directors to the Melbourne Water Board. These appointments continue to build on the rich diversity of water sector boards. 

Melbourne Water welcomes new Chair, Greg Wilson and four new Directors Monique Conheady, Binda Gokhale, Freya Marsden and Cameron Myrtle. They join returning members: James Atkins, Andrew Cairns, Anita Roper and Fiona Rowland to the Melbourne Water Board.   

Minister Shing, in consultation with the Treasurer, appoints the directors of Melbourne Water for terms of up to four years and we are very lucky to have had the diverse range of skills and experience that they bring to our business, which is continued through the appointment of our new members. 

Melbourne Water thanks our outgoing Board Members, Prof. John Thwaites (Chair), Kathleen Bailey-Lord (Deputy Chair), Russell Anderson and Robyn McLeod. Each has made a strong contribution over many years of serving on the current Board.  
 
The appointment of a new Board Chair and Directors will commence from October 1, 2023. Outgoing members will complete their terms on September 30, 2023.
